Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rain will continue in the state. Due to the possibility of isolated heavy rain, the Central Meteorological Department has announced yellow alert in various districts. A Well Marked Low Pressure Area is located near the Maharashtra coast in the Middle East Arabian Sea. It is likely to move in a west-north-westerly direction and strengthen as a depression in the Central Arabian Sea by tomorrow (October 13, 2024) morning. Cyclonic circulation is located in South East Bay of Bengal. By October 14 (October 14, 2024), it is likely to intensify into a Low Pressure Area in Southwest Bay of Bengal. Another cyclone is located in the southwest Bay of Bengal. As a result, widespread light/moderate rain is likely over Kerala for the next week.
